The Alexandra Gardens are an attractive location for wedding ceremonies. The rotunda is the main ceremony location within the gardens. It’s large enough to hold the entire wedding party and there is room outside the front for a large number of guests to view the ceremony. Photo opportunities include the ponds which are located right next to the rotunda.

The Band Rotunda offers a spectacular beachside wedding location for those who don’t want sand in their shoes. A large ceremony can be held by the side the of the rotunda, or if you have a small ceremony the rotunda can house this. It has a set of 15 steps taking you to the elevated viewing level which offers magnificent photo opportunites or the beach. The garden has a large lawn area to each side of the rotunda featuring large palm trees along with many other types of beach trees. Parking is available in an off-road beach car park about 100 metres from the rotunda.

The Brighton Town Hall Garden is a striking and well maintained location for your ceremony. The gardens is divided by a set of stairs where the garden slopes down to another level, this provides two options for ceremony locations. The lower part of the garden is suitable for larger weddings and has a large flat lawn area, asmall pond and a fountain. The top area features a rose garden with a hedge border surrounding each garden bed and perfect for a small wedding and it’s centre feature is a pond with a small fountain.The top of the garden is secluded from the road by a trellis walkway covered with roses. The colour of the lawns in this garden are magnificent and at the bottom end there are a number of large old trees to offer shade. Parking is available roadside or in the library car park located next door. The garden is on a quiet road so traffic noise is limited. There are limited photographic opportunities

This enormous park location has as much history as it does character. Originally built to display the historical style of gardens in the 1900′s, the garden lays on an old creek bed with rolling landscapes and slopes. The elevated wooden rotunda was built in 1909. The rotunda is large enough for an intimate gathering or suitable for photographic opportunities after the ceremony. With an abundance of shading, on-site amenities and a short stroll from the trendy Mailing Road, this site is perfect for a garden wedding ceremony of any size. Immediate access and ample guest parking may be found in the railway parking area adjacent to this location.

The Catani Gardens are a popular location for your ceremony. They are sitated along the bay and have a large expanse of green lawn, a stunning rotunda which can house up to 30 people and huge palm trees. Photographic opportunities are available in the park situated next to the gardens.

The Arboretum is an extremely popular location for outdoor weddings and photographs. It has many beautiful plants which make for a beautiful ceremony. It has an expansive lawn area to host your ceremony. The Arboretum was named in honour of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch in recognition of her contribution to the building of the garden. The garden is looked after well, however often there is a lot of road noise from Cranbourne-Frankston Road.

Emerald Park Lake covers over 50 hectares of land with two charming lakes – Lake Tribulation and Lake Treganowan. The park has many areas for your ceremony including 5 ampitheathres which cater for both large and small weddings. It also has many different locations, some lakeside and other with bush backgrounds. Marquee receptions can also be held in the park.

The Fitzroy Gardens have many sheltered structures for your wedding ceremony. Locations such as the Old Bandstand, The Temple of the Winds, The Dolphin Fountain and the The Conservatory all offer magnificent back drops for your ceremony. The gardens are very popular and application to use any of the locations requires early application.

The gardens also feature a corridor of elm trees which allow for the most stunning wedding photos with your bridal party.

The Queen Victoria Gardens and the Floral Clock are located on St Kilda Road opposite the National Art Gallery. The clock is a truly wonderful display of colour and a very popular Melbourne landmark. Although not the most popular location for ceremonies (mostly due to the noise from surrounding traffic), the photographic opportunities are amazing.

Parking is available on St Kilda Road, Alexandra Avenue or Linlithgow Avenue. Parking fees may apply.

The main ceremony location is between two ornamental ponds and surrounded by colourful gardens. The entry to this area is through a bridge covered by a canopy of flowers. Only 10 minutes from Mornington, the Garden Vineyard located in Moorooduc provides a beautiful environment for wedding ceremonies and photograpy. The Walled Garden is a wonderful location for small weddings, the Grand Stairs give a more formal ceremony and the Australian Garden is the perfect location for a casual wedding.

If the weather turns inclement, you can conduct your ceremony on the magnificent wisteria and rose framed terrace which can be enclosed. A private room is available for the bride before the wedding and an attendant can be available to see to any last minute needs.

The centre piece of this garden is the lake. You can host your ceremony on the lawn area by the lake or between the surrounding gum trees. The garden also have a magnificent park called Fern Gully which includes meandering pathways and bench seats under a canopy of ferms. One of Melbourne’s most significant properties, this distinguished Victorian Mansion is surrounded by lush gardens. The landscape is quite open and the mansion is one of the Bayside area’s most popular ceremony locations. The garden features a fountain, the patio and the grand entrance to the mansion which all provide perfect for backdrops for your photography.

Featuring nine acres of picturesque gardens and parkland, Karrawingi Park is located in Mornington Peninsula. The gardens provide both formal and informal settings. The park includes a formal rose garden, a settlers hut, a cottage garden, a small rainforest and an agapanthus lined avenue which leads to a jetty. A pavilion and large lake area are two more special places to host your ceremony. There is no time limit as ceremonies are restricted to one per day.

Lady Janet Clarke Rotunda – Queen Victoria Gardens – VIC

The rotunda provides shelter for up to 80 guests and features fixed bench seating around the perimeter of the rotunda. It is recommended that you restrict the number of chairs provided for your ceremony to allow for more standing room. The rotunda is located close to the Royal Botanic Gardens on Linlithgow Avenue and is a very popular location for ceremonies. For this reason, couples should apply for their permits early on.

National Rhododendron Garden – VIC

The National Rhododendron Gardens, set against the backdrop of the Warburton Ranges, are host to thousands of Rhododendrons, Azaleas, Camellias, Hydrangeas and Daffodils with. It is also home to the worlds tallest flowering trees, the Australian Mountain Ash.

The gardens are spread over 103 acres and include locations such as the camellia garden, serenity point and the gazebo by the lake. The gazebo on the edge of the lake is a beautiful setting for a ceremony. The scenery from the higher locations such as serenity point is breathtaking, and the thousands of flowering plants makes these gardens one of the best wedding locations in Victoria.

This location provides a private location in the heart of the Royal Botanic Gardens. The T shaped canal, tiled grotto and the water feature are all interesting features within the garden. Located adjacent to the entrance of the Royal Botanic Gardens the garden is a most beautiful wedding location.

Melbourne Park and Gardens have placed limitation on guest numbers and equipment to ensure the grounds are kept in perfect condition.

Queens Park features two magnificent locations for ceremonies, the gazebo on the lake and the lawn area. The lawn is a large areas that can accommodate both large and small ceremonies and is surrounded by an arrangement of flowering plants and trees which look perfect all year round. The entrance to the location has a seven metre tall tower which is an impressive entry. The smaller gazebo by the lake allows for you to have your ceremony by the lake whilst your guests stand by the waters edge.

Schwerkolt Cottage was built in 1884 and furnished true to the era. An ideal ceremony location is the open lawn area at the front of the cottage. The cottage is surrounded by gardens.

Although the cottage cannot be used between 2pm – 5pm Saturdays, Sundays and Public Holiday, the area provides the perfect location for your wedding photography.

The landscape of the St Kilda Botanical Gardens changes with each season. The most popular location within the gardens is the The Rose Garden Pavillion. This area is in full bloom over the warmer months. Tennyson Street leads you back to locations such as the St Kilda foreshore and the Esplanade to continue your photography.

This is an extremely popular garden wedding venue and early permit applications will ensure a confirmed booking. Limitations apply to chair numbers at this venue.
